In this World

Rancor and fear have lived throughout this world

The rich ride the usurp backs of the weak

The innocent cower and live up curled

Parsimony runs rampant, causing reek

But, not all of kindness is at a loss

Love still flourishes with those who still hope

We must remember not to live in gloss

Or the cruelty shall catch up with tight rope

Our children start out as delicate fawns

Garrulous they are and innocent too

They bathe in the light of a silent dawn

Innocent and precious, always so true

Protect these offspring with undying trust

For these ones live in a world of blood lust
